AI Disclosure & Editorial Policy
Last updated: May 2026
Why this page exists
We use AI extensively in the product itself (the Answer Analyzer, Mock Interview, and Deep Dive features) and to assist our editorial team in researching and drafting blog content. Google's search and advertising policies require transparency about AI’s role in published content. This page sets out exactly how AI is used on DataEngPrep, what is reviewed by humans, and where our limitations lie.
Where AI generates output for users
- Answer Analyzer — when you paste an interview answer, we send it to Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash model with custom system prompts that instruct it to score the answer, identify gaps, and produce a FAANG-style improved response. The output is generated per request and is not edited by humans before being shown to you.
- Mock Interview & Deep Dive — these interactive sessions are powered by the same model with role-specific prompts (interviewer, evaluator, mentor). Conversations are AI-generated.
- Resume Analyzer — uploaded resumes are parsed and scored by AI; the keyword and rewrite suggestions are AI-generated.
AI-generated content can contain factual errors, outdated information, or hallucinations. Treat all AI feedback as a starting point for your own preparation, not as authoritative interviewer judgement.
Where humans review or write content
- Question bank — interview questions are sourced from real candidate interview experiences and community contributions. Each question is tagged by topic, company, and difficulty by our editorial team. Sample expert answers are drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed by a practising data engineer for technical accuracy before publication.
- Long-form blog guides — articles in the Blog are outlined by editors, drafted with AI assistance, and then human-edited for accuracy, structure, and current relevance to FAANG / Indian-IT interview rubrics.
- Editorial pages — pages such as About, Privacy, Terms, and this page itself are written and maintained by humans.
Our content quality commitments
- We do not publish AI-generated content as if it were human-authored personal experience.
- We do not invent named user testimonials or fabricate engineer success stories.
- We update articles when interview patterns or tooling change, and surface a visible "Updated" date on revised posts.
- We review reader-submitted corrections within 5 business days. To submit one, use our Contact page.
Models & data flow
Inference is performed via Google's Gemini API. Inputs you submit (your interview answers, resume text, chat messages) are sent to Google for processing in accordance with Google's API terms. We do not use your individual answers to train any model. We may use anonymised, aggregated usage patterns (e.g. which question topics are most popular) to improve product features.
See our Privacy Policy for the full description of data handling, retention, and your rights.
Reporting issues
If you spot an inaccurate AI response, a factual error in a blog post, or content that violates Google's publisher policies, email info@dataengprep.tech with the URL and a short description. We aim to action verified reports within 5 business days.
