Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DataEngPrep.tech (the "Service"), operated by DataEngPrep.tech ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Free and Paid Content

The Service offers both free and paid content. Free content is available to all users. Paid content, including full access to questions, answers, AI Coach, mock interviews, and other premium features, requires a subscription or one-time payment as described in our pricing.

4. Payment Terms

We offer several payment options:

• Starter one-time payment ($9 USD or ₹99 INR) - 7 days of full access, no recurring charges
• Core monthly subscription ($24/month USD or ₹999/month INR) - billed every 30 days
• Pro plan ($49/month USD or ₹1,999/month INR, billed annually) - includes everything in Core plus priority support and resume analyzer
• Pro Lifetime one-time payment ($449 USD, US only) - lifetime access, no recurring charges

Payments are processed securely through Razorpay (India, INR) and Stripe (international, USD). You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method. For subscriptions, you will be billed automatically until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account billing page. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. Current pricing is always shown on the pricing page.

5. Refund Policy — 7-Day Conditional Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a conditional 7-day money-back guarantee on the Starter, Core, and Pro plans. To be eligible for a refund, all of the following conditions must be met:

• The refund request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the original purchase date.
• You must have used the product in good faith — specifically, you must have submitted at least one answer or coach session through the AI Answer Analyzer or AI Coach during the 7-day window. Refund requests from accounts that show no product usage will be denied.
• You must email info@dataengprep.tech from the account’s registered email address with the subject line “Refund Request” and a brief description of why the product did not meet your needs.
• Each customer is eligible for one refund only across all plans and accounts they have ever held with DataEngPrep.tech. Repeat purchases after a refund are non-refundable.

The Pro Lifetime plan and any company-specific Interview Packs purchased via the Store are non-refundable, as they are deeply discounted one-time purchases of the entire content library.

Refunds, when approved, are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that we determine, in good faith, to be abusive (for example: bulk content scraping followed by a refund claim, multiple accounts created to claim multiple refunds, or refund requests outside the 7-day window).

For monthly and yearly subscriptions, you may also cancel at any time from your account billing page to stop future charges. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then, but cancellation alone does not trigger a refund. If you want a refund in addition to cancellation and you are within the 7-day window, you must email us as described above.

6. AI Coach Disclaimer

The AI Interview Coach feature provides AI-generated responses and feedback. This content is generated by artificial intelligence and is intended for educational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. The AI Coach is a study tool, not a substitute for professional career advice or real interview practice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, and features of the Service, including but not limited to questions, answers, code samples, and design elements, are owned by DataEngPrep.tech or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent. Your use of the Service grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the content for personal, non-commercial use only.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataEngPrep.tech and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
